Hey! I’m Corey-

I’m a licensed landscape architect with 25 years experience working as a professional designer and educator, running a solo design business, building hundreds of projects, and transforming spaces from the ground up. A decade ago, my creative drive expanded into interior design and architectural renovations, and new design channels continue to open…I’ve been quite fortunate to be involved in so many different and unique projects over the years!

With a passion for teaching, I spent 10 years of my career as a educator and eventual college professor, and taught courses from masonry and heavy equipment operation to entrepreneurship, professional practice and business marketing. I’ve taught hundreds of students how to build a career with their own two hands as I have, and building a brand that’s worth being proud of. Drawing on real-world experiences, I’ve designed and managed over a million dollars in construction projects, worked inside big engineering offices, and spent a decade teaching others how to be successful entrepreneurs!

Yes, I can run a business - and heavy equipment, block-up a foundation and frame a house, design a backyard oasis and a new modern kitchen, and teach others from my actual business experience at the university level. I’m driven by passion and an instinct to design and build things—creativity is simply who I am.

Big Savage Design Co. started as my creative pressure-release valve: a place to escape corporate and institutional sameness and take on projects that actually light me up. Today, it’s where I blend design, coaching, teaching, and a relentless need to make places and spaces better while guiding new and established designers to write their own story, and to build their own legacy!

I want others to feel BIG, to feel SAVAGE and to DESIGN in a way that brings them genuine joy, financial independence, and life-long personal and professional fulfillment!

Welcome to Big Savage Design!

I’d love to help you with a design / build project, or to help and guide you on a professional career path of design!
